Scouts have been active in our communities for over a century, but with the adoption of the 2030 Agenda, we let out a renewed commitment towards grassroots youth-led action for sustainable development through the Scouts for SDGs mobilization. Our pledge as a global movement is to contribute the largest youth-led contribution to the SDGs by mobilizing our 54 million members to complete 4 billion hours of community service for the Goals by 2030. To date, Scouts have donated over 1.8 billion hours to their communities in the form of service projects, like teaching young offenders critical life skills in the Philippines and Uganda, running menstrual health education circles in rural Madagascar and Kenya, building wells to provide clean water in schools in South Sudan, or running mass tree planting campaigns in Ecuador and Croatia.
